Atlanta International Arbitration Society (AtlAS) Forum is hosting an event in Atlanta, Georgia with several panel discussions. Jill Pilgrim will be speaking on a panel on international sports arbitration and mediation. Pilgrim is an esteemed attorney with a wide span of work environments. Some of Pilgrim’s diverse experience involves serving as general counsel of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), and as general counsel and director of business affairs for USATF, the Olympic governing body for the sport of track & field. Pilgrim is also a member of several boards including AAA, the Knight Commission Intercollegiate Athletics, the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section, and the Sports & Entertainment Section of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association. Pilgrim also founded and is the president of the Center for the Protection of Athletes’ Rights, Inc. (CPAR), a nonprofit advocacy, education, and legal service provider for low-income members of the U.S. athletic community. In addition to many accolades, Pilgrim is also an adjunct professor at Columbia’s Law School teaching a seminar-style sports arbitration course.
