A group of Olympians are raising a case against the FBI for failing to stop an abusive osteopathic physician, Larry Nassar. In 2015, there were mass accusations filed against Nassar. FBI agents were aware of the 13 claims against Nassar, but didn’t act on this information, leaving Olympic athletes vulnerable to abuse for another year and a half. This isn’t a one-off incident, rather is one of many that occurs because of a system that enables it to do so, says Simone Biles. Victims are now seeking a settlement of over 1 billion dollars.
